Ken Mechler in front of Spring 4On Saturday April 5th, Cherry Blossom Visions opened at Brooklyn Botanic Garden. This is a show of work by painter David Wander and me, in conjunction with BBG's Hanami month-long cherry blossom festival. It allowed me the opportunity to try out a new mounting technique (DiBond aluminum panels), to play with scale in Spring 4, and to display Folia 3 in one continuous sweep.
And what a terrific experience! Anita Jacobs and Michael Comlisch, the organizers at BBG, could not have been sweeter and more supportive. David Wander is very friendly, and his work is great. Add to that the able and extremely encouraging support of Ken Mechler, who helped me install the work, and you could almost want to move to NYC!!! (Almost)
